Jodhpur cops detect tunnel on Pak border

New Delhi: The Jodhpur police have discovered an underground tunnel connecting India and Pakistan near the border, says a report by CNN-IBN.The tunnel was dug right under the nose of the BSF, which hold charge of combating cross-border infiltrations.However, the BSF has denied reports about the tunnel. But two local smugglers captured at Barmer say that the tunnel exists and is used to smuggle drugs and fake currency from Pakistan.The smugglers Iliyas and Eklu have also confessed to meeting Pakistani contacts and accepting consignments from them through the tunnel. They also said that a Pakistani named Salem delivered heroin to them recently.Jodhpur range IG Rajeev Dasot said that smugglers from both sides prepared the plan jointly and transferred goods.
