India hands Kasab's letter to Pak envoy

New Delhi: India Monday handed over a letter written by Mohammed Ajmal Amir alias Kasab, the lone Mumbai attacker in Indian custody, to the Pakistani envoy saying he and other terrorists killed in the attack were from Pakistan.
”In his letter addressed to the Pakistan High Commission, Kasab has stated that he and the other terrorists killed in the attack were from Pakistan and has sought a meeting with a representative of the Pakistan High Commission,” external affairs ministry spokesperson Vishnu Prakash told reporters. The ministry called Pakistan's acting high commissioner Afrasiab and handed over the letter. With Pakistan in denial about any links with the Mumbai attacks, Kasab's letter is “decisive evidence” that backs India's contention about the complicity of Pak elements in the Nov 26 Mumbai savagery, an official source said.Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Pakistan's high commissioner to India Shahid Malik have denied that Kasab is a Pakistani national. While Kasab was captured, his nine fellow gunmen were killed by commandos.
