New Delhi: Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Tuesday night after he complained of difficulty in breathing.
The senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was admitted around 10 p.m, medical superintendent of AIIMS D.K. Sharma told IANS.
Vajpayee is suffering from chest congestion, infection and has fever, Sharma said, adding doctors were constantly monitoring his condition.He would undergo medical examinations Wednesday, Sharma said.
