Yeddyurappa: '24-hour' politician in the hot seat

His favourite outfit without a doubt is the white safari suit which now in Karnataka is being called as Yedi's Suit. There is a joke doing the rounds in the Bangalore press club that in 1999, he had stitched 10 white safari suits thinking that he would become chief minister, but he lost the elections. They say that those suits have not gone waste today.
His lucky charm is considered to be the gold bracelet which he wears on his arm. Both his family members and friends say that he is very sentimental and possessive about it.
Yeddyurappa will create history on May 30. Although it would be a proud moment for him, he will surely miss his wife, Maithra Devi, who died three and half years ago. Vijendra and Uma Devi, his son and daughter, feel that he would have been happier if their mother were to be around. His three daughters and two sons however want to ensure that their father cherishes this great moment and are making preparations to celebrate this big day for their father.
